with two straps that do not hide

but there is still something going on in my mind ...
would like to make an inscription at the bottom ...
type ... welcome ... home sweet home ...
... will emerge when the idea ..
for now I've already hung on display in a room with my daughter

Teoria Idoli F.bacona

Gratin Dauphinois...o più semplicemente gratin di patate...ma al curry!


Buongiorno!
Da un pò che avevo adocchiato la ricetta nel libro "Patate mille gusti" di Sale & Pepe Collection ma per un motivo o per un altro avevo sempre desistito dal prepararla...poi un giorno, superate le ritrosie iniziali di Stefano che non ama molto questo tipo di piatti, mi sono finalmente decisa...e per fortuna...perchè è buonissima!!! Un sostanzioso contorno da concedersi ogni tanto...! Come capita quasi sempre abbiamo fatto qualche piccola modifica che vi indicheremo tra parentesi...tra le quali preferire il curry, che adoriamo, al pepe nero e rendere il tutto un pò più light... Abbiamo, inoltre, dimezzato le dosi per adattarle a due cocottine mono dose...cmq a voi riportiamo quelle riportate sul libro che sono indicative per 4/6 persone!

Vi occorrono...
1 kg di patate (noi q.b. per formare due strati di patate per ogni cocottina)
2 spicchi d'aglio (non li abbiamo messi)
250 ml di latte (noi 125 ml)
50 g di burro (noi olio extra vergine d'oliva)
500 ml di panna (noi 125 ml)
pepe nero (noi curry)

Sbucciare le patate, lavarle e tagliarle a fettine sottili. Spellare gli spicchi d'aglio, tagliarli a metà e sfregarli nella pirofila che andrà in forno. Inburrare quest'ultima (noi abbiamo preferito spennellare le due cocottine scelte con dell'olio) e disporre le patate a strati sovrapponedole leggermente e spolverizzando ogni strato con del pepe o come abbiamo fatto noi con del curry. Mescolare la panna con il latte aggiungendo un pò di sale (il libro indicava un cucchiaino di sale, noi ci siamo regolati da soli) e versare il composto nella pirofila delle patate. Completare con dei fiocchetti di burro (che ovviamente noi abbiamo omesso...) ed infornare in forno già caldo a 220° per 50 minuti, un'ora circa (o regolatevi in base al vostro forno). Se non volete correre il rischio di ustionarvi... :) attendete una decina di minuti prima di portare la forchetta alla bocca!!!
