Tirata per mesi in parlamento e nelle piazze, la corda ideologica dell'estremismo si è infine spezzata, facendo precipitare il governo Prodi e riaprendo a Silvio Berlusconi - sconfitto soltanto un anno fa nelle urne - la prospettiva ravvicinata di ritornare alla guida del Paese.
La crisi si apre sulla politica estera, dopo che D'Alema ha spiegato in Senato l'impegno per la pace dell'Italia, il rifiuto della guerra, il valore "politico e civile" della missione Onu in Afghanistan, l'impossibilità di un ritiro che ci allontanerebbe dalla Ue, isolandoci. Un discorso che sta pienamente nel programma dell'Unione, e che avrebbe potuto pronunciare tra gli applausi qualsiasi ministro degli Esteri di qualunque governo di sinistra di ogni Paese occidentale.
Ma in Italia, no. In Italia, dove il presidente del Consiglio è stato presidente della Commissione europea, questo discorso divide la sinistra ed è inaccettabile per la sua frangia più estrema, pronta a votare contro il governo pur di salvarsi l'anima o almeno il pregiudizio. Il risultato è la crisi dopo appena 281 giorni di Prodi a Palazzo Chigi, nemmeno un anno. Una crisi inevitabile perché senza una maggioranza in politica estera non si governa il Paese. Ma qui, secondo quanto rivela l'estremismo radicale, non manca solo la maggioranza: manca un'idea stessa dell'Italia, per capire cos'è e cosa dev'essere oggi, qual è il suo posto in quella parte del mondo che si chiama Europa e Occidente, se non vogliamo abitarla per caso o per sbaglio, da stranieri in patria, orfani di ideologie sconfitte e pericolose.
Ecco perché Romano Prodi ha fatto bene ad annunciare subito dopo il voto, già al telefono, le sue dimissioni al Capo dello Stato, e a non chiedere un rinvio automatico alle Camere per verificare meccanicamente se la maggioranza di centrosinistra c'è ancora oppure no. In questo modo si esce dai giochi interni alla coalizione, dove è possibile fare per mesi i governativi al ministero e gli estremisti in piazza, e tutto ritorna nelle mani del Capo dello Stato. Questa responsabilità è già emersa ieri con evidenza in Senato, con la defezione di due parlamentari, uno di Rifondazione e uno appena uscito dal partito dei Comunisti italiani: per Prodi due voti in meno in un equilibrio già fragilissimo, con Andreotti subito pronto - com'era immaginabile - a stare con i desideri di Ruini piuttosto che con la politica estera del governo. Le due defezioni "comuniste" sono il segno concreto dell'ideologismo irriducibile, anche davanti alla crisi di governo, e al rischio di riconsegnare il Paese a Berlusconi. Ma sarebbe ingiusto fermarsi qui, e non vedere dietro i due senatori del no un mondo, un'organizzazione e una cultura molto più ampia, in cui hanno camminato in questi mesi e soprattutto in queste ultime settimane gli stessi leader dei partiti dei verdi, di Rifondazione e dei Comunisti italiani che poi nelle ultime ore hanno parlato a sostegno del governo: come se un voto parlamentare fosse separabile da una cultura, da un comportamento diffuso e insistito, da un giudizio capitale sul riformismo di sinistra, dall'anatema sulle alleanze occidentali. E soprattutto dall'antiamericanismo che dopo la fine della guerra fredda in Italia è l'ultima ideologia superstite, quasi un'identità eterna per un comunismo minore e irriducibile, che continua a chiamarsi tale nonostante la democrazia l'abbia sconfitto nella contesa europea del Novecento, rivelando non solo i suoi errori ma la sua tragedia.
La crisi di governo certifica dunque con esattezza cos'è la sinistra italiana oggi. Son tornata da Parigi in compagnia di due pesci rossi... Il regalo è del mio boy che per farsi perdonare e per farsi amare ancora dopo aver ferocemente litigato è corso di fretta alle animalerie di Chatelet a comprare i due poissons.
Primo problema : come farli viaggiare con me? Sull'aereo non li volevano causa le nuove regole sui liquidi vietati al controllo. La scortese hostess di terra che mi trovavo di fronte non aveva alcuna intenzione di fare un eccezione, ella non capiva il valore affettivo that the two fishes were for me and I would have never ever downloaded dell'areoporto in the toilets. ( ma alla gente la coerenza non piace proprio!? )
E aggiunge:
"Mio padre non voleva che entrassi nel mondo dello spettacolo. Ho avuto un'educazione rigidissima: scuola di danza, conservatorio fino all'ottavo anno, inglese... E anche in tv, ho sempre fatto scelte fuori dagli schemi"
Ad esempio ?
